Rates and Payments

We have a variety of payment options available for you to pay your rates, permits or registrations which are outlined below.

How to make a rates payment

Online: You can make rate payments online using: Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express (credit card payments incur a service fee). 

Direct debit: Residents can arrange to have their bank account debited on a quarterly or annual basis by completing a Rates Direct Debit Form.

BPay: To pay your rates using BPay, please use the BPay biller code and reference number quoted on your rates notice.

Mail: Post your cheque or money order, made payable to: Georges River Council, PO Box 205, Hurstville BC NSW 1481.

In person: Rate payments can be made over the counter at one of Council's Service Centres.
 
Australia Post: Rate payments can be made at any Post Office using Post Billpay.

Phone: To make a credit card rate payment, residents can call the telephone number quoted on your rates notice.

If you are having difficulty paying your rates, contact us to discuss your options. 

If you wish to recieve your rate payments notice by email, please complete the Request to Recieve Rates by Email form.

 

Rates payments

Georges River Council rates are due to be paid by the following dates:

  • 31 August
  • 30 November
  • 28 February
  • 31 May
