Council Meetings

In accordance with the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 4) made on 30 June 2020, Georges River Council may allow Councillors and Council staff to attend Council and Committee Meetings in person. However Councillors and staff must be allowed to participate by audio visual links where it is practicable to do so.

Effective from Monday 22 June 2020, Council meetings (only) will move to a blended form which will allow Councillors and staff to attend in person and remotely via Skype. This will ensure compliance with the capacity restrictions imposed by the Public Health Order.

To ensure compliance with the Public Health Order and Section 10 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council will continue to livestream Council meetings and accept written submissions from members of the public, to be read aloud in the Public Forum section of the agenda.

Council meets regularly to make decisions for the local government area. Meetings are open to the public and residents can register to speak on any item on the agenda. To lodge a request to speak at a Council or Committee Meeting, complete the Request to Speak at Council Meeting form.
