Information Session for Candidates

Council hosted an information session for candidates and members of the community interested in what it means to be a Councillor on Monday 14 August 2017.

The information session was designed to assist candidates in obtaining an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of both Council and Councillors, including understanding community expectations, challenges of the role and the importance of speaking out on key issues.

This presentation provided here, was conducted by a Local Government NSW facilitator, who have extensive experience in providing professional development to Councillors in local government.
