31/01/2019

Georges River Council is pleased to announce strata management company Network Strata Services Pty Ltd (‘Netstrata’) as the new Naming Rights Sponsor of Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah.

The venue will now adopt the name ‘Netstrata Jubilee Stadium’ for a term of three years. The announcement follows an Expression of Interest process and a decision by Council in December 2018 for naming rights at the Stadium.

Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said that he is pleased to reveal Netstrata as the successful applicant for naming rights sponsorship of the esteemed venue.

“I am delighted to announce Netstrata, a locally-based company with a strong history in the Georges River area, as the naming rights sponsor of Netstrata Jubilee Stadium,” said Mayor Greene.

“Netstrata enters into the partnership at an exciting time for the stadium as its profile continues to increase, becoming a sought-after venue for professional football clubs and elite training.

“2019 is set to be an action-packed year of sport at the stadium, which will host several games for the Asian Champions League and the Cup of Nations, as well as the St George Illawarra Dragons game against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.”

Stephen Brell, Managing Director of Netstrata explained the historical ties that the strata management company has with the local area, describing the partnership as a “natural fit.”

“Netstrata is delighted to be formally associated with one of Australia’s leading sporting venues and some of the country’s most successful and iconic sporting clubs,” said Mr Brell.

“Jubilee Stadium has been the focal point for major sports and entertainment in the St George area for more than 80 years. Just about everyone in southern Sydney has a fondness for the venue and great memories of attending an event there.

“Netstrata is also proud to have been part of the St George community from our first day in 1996, and we plan on being here a lot longer. That’s why this partnership is such a natural fit for our business.

“We congratulate Georges River Council for the investments it has made in upgrading Jubilee Stadium in recent years to make it truly world-class. We look forward to plenty of exciting events and a very successful partnership over the next three years.

Sydney FC will go head-to-head with Melbourne City at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in their last game of the A-League on Sunday 3 February. The football heroes will also play three Asian Champions League home games at the venue, commencing Wednesday 6 March 2019.

Netstrata Jubilee Stadium will stage the first international fixture ever with the Matildas playing the Cup of Nations double-header on Thursday 28 February against New Zealand, and Argentina against South Korea. The St George Illawarra Dragons game against the South Sydney Rabbitohs will take place on Thursday 21 March 2019.

Netstrata Jubilee Stadium is one of Sydney’s premium boutique sporting venues, consistently providing the Georges River community and Sydney’s southern region with a diverse mix of first-class sporting fixtures.

Georges River Council looks forward to a positive partnership with Netstrata across the next three years as Netstrata Jubilee Stadium continues to bring quality sport events to the Georges River area.
