Council has school holiday entertainment for the kids covered this April

Georges River Council’s School holiday program offers plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained in April, with Georges River Libraries, Hurstville Museum & Gallery and Hurstville Entertainment Centre offering a great line-up of programs and workshops aimed at promoting fun and interactive learning.

 

Reader Dogs

Kids can read to a Guide Dogs NSW Ambassador Dog to boost their reading confidence and abilities.

When: Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April 2019, 10.30am-12.00pm

Art masterpieces – Georges Seurat

In this fun workshop, kids can create their own pointillism masterpiece inspired by artist, Georges Seurat, using dots to create a unique work of art.

When: Wednesday 17 April 2019, Session 1: 10.30am-12.00pm (5-10 years), Session 2: 1.30pm-3.00pm (10-15 years)

Where: Hurstville Museum & Gallery, MacMahon Street, Hurstville

Author Talk and Creative Writing Workshop with Susan Berran

Kogarah Library will be hosting an Author talk with kids’ author Susan Berran offering budding writers the chance to gain inspiration, develop their creative writing skills and receive guidance from a celebrated childrens’ author.

Australian Wildlife displays’ ‘Something Wild’ Reptile Show

For animal lovers, Hurstville entertainment Centre will be hosting Australian Wildlife displays’ ‘Something Wild’ Reptile Show, where kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a selection of native Australian reptiles.

When: Tuesday 23 April 2019, Session 1: Session 1: 10.30am-11.30am, Session 2: 1:30pm-3.00pm

Where: Marana Auditorium, MacMahon Street, Hurstville
