Hurstville Plaza Project

Works to create the new Hurstville Plaza at 296 Forest Road, Hurstville (opposite Westfield), were completed in April 2019.

The works, undertaken by KK Consultants, followed the demolition of the Council-owned building which was acquired over eight years ago.

Landscaping works incorporate shaded public seating, pavement lighting, outdoor dining areas, a water feature, soft landscaping and an amenities unit, which were designed to deliver a community space which promotes wellbeing and celebrates the community’s diverse cultural heritage.

The Plaza greatly enhances the centre of the Hurstville CBD and is an appealing and attractive place for people to enjoy. It will improves the street-level connectivity between Hurstville Central, Hurstville Westfield and the Hurstville Transport Interchange.

The Plaza was officially opened on Friday 12 April 2019 which coincided with the Eat Art Hurstville Night Markets.
