Customer Service Hubs Project

Council will soon be providing community members a fresh, contemporary and more welcoming Service Centre at the Georges River Civic Centre and Kogarah Library.

During the refurbishment of the Customer Service Centre and foyer at Kogarah Library and Service Centre, from Monday 12 November until December 2018, the Library Service and Customer Service Teams have temporarily relocated to a counter at the back of the library.

We want to ensure our community has access to quality and responsive services, and the planned refurbishments will result in a flexible, multi-use spaces - Customer Service Centre during the day, with a bookable space at the Civic Centre for the public afterhours and on weekends.

The Civic Centre will also offer enhanced meeting rooms that the public can book, equipped with smart boards and internet access, providing a technologically modern space for presentations and events. The two meeting rooms will have capacity for 20 persons and 10 persons respectively.

A vertical garden wall will greet customers as they enter, and a concierge will be on hand to triage enquiries and administer a queue management system to minimise customer waiting periods. The new waiting area will provide comfortable lounges, informational display monitors as well as self-service computers.
